Gabe Zichermann Featured in GQ

Gamification expert Gabe Zichermann was recently featured in a GQ article about the measures that some app developers are taking to keep users engaged. In the article titled, “How Apps Such as HQ Trivia Are Hooking People In,” Gabe comments on the dangers of creating addictive technology and what steps the creators of these apps should really be taking so they don’t contribute to the current crisis known as the addiction economy.

Scott Greenberg Hosts Business AMA

This week, Scott Greenberg hosted an Ask Me Anything forum titled, “How to Build a Team of Loyal, Reliable Employees Who Will Wow Your Customers and Grow Your Business: A Guide to Employee Development and HR Training for Your Staff.” He answered all sorts of questions regarding employee engagement, how to succeed as a franchisee, and leadership.

Scott also took some time this week to send a very important message to employers regarding the hiring process, which some leaders can have difficulty with. In the video, which can be found on Eagle Talent’s “The Buzz,” the award-winning franchisee advises employers to hire slow and fire fast! This way, he says, you can ensure that you are adding the best members to your team and avoid anyone who will not contribute their best.

Todd Dewett Teaches Leaders How to Create an Authentic Team

Todd Dewett, a.k.a the professor of authenticity, also took some time this week to send a powerful message to leaders who may be struggling with motivating their employees. In the video, he encourages leaders to push their teams to be more authentic and provides tips on how they can do just that. The key takeaway? An authentic leader is the essential ingredient in creating an authentic team and a successful business.  

Lisa Copeland Continues her ‘Big Sell’ Movement

Lisa Copeland has been keeping us in the loop via her weekly podcasts, where she brings in special guests to provide insight on various topics within the sales and automotive industry. Her podcast, “The Art of the Big Sell,” is a great listen for anyone looking for some motivation and advice on how to get ahead in this competitive industry.  

Amelia Rose Earhart Celebrates Four-Year Anniversary of Historical Flight

Last but definitely not least, Amelia Rose Earhart celebrated an important anniversary this week. Wednesday marked four years since Amelia’s around-the-world flight. Although her namesake was unable to complete the journey, she did and came back with stories and wisdom to share with the world — and not to mention an experience like no other.
