This is Not a Game: The Game
Voter turnout in midterm elections hasn’t always been great, so Samantha Bee has set out to solve this problem with her new trivia app. With the help of Gabe Zichermann and a team of experts, she released “This is Not a Game: The Game” earlier this week.
The purpose of the game is to promote civic engagement and encourage people to get out there and vote. The app allows users to test their knowledge on U.S. government — and maybe even learn something new — while competing with other players for cash prizes up to $5,000. The prize money is split among winners.

Positive reinforcement often generates desirable results — after all, no one minds winning a reward every now and then. With the “This is Not a Game” app, players will learn political facts, set voting reminders and win cash prizes while doing so.
