Scott Greenberg New Year Resolution

Scott Greenberg’s New Year’s Resolution for Franchisees

Sheldon Senek•January 22, 2019

Now that we are well into the new year, how many of you can truly say that you’re following through on your new year’s resolutions? Forbes recently reported that although many people set new year’s resolutions every year, less than 25 percent stay committed after 30 days, and only 8 percent actually accomplish their resolution.

Scott Greenberg, a former franchisee who won awards for his Edible Arrangements franchises, knows the importance of setting goals and actually following through on them. In his latest video, Scott poses four questions you should put some serious thought into, in an effort to pave the way for a successful year.

What is preventing you from achieving your goals?

If you have set goals for yourself in the past and have failed to achieve those goals, have you ever wondered why that could be? Did some major obstacle get in the way of your goal or did you simply push your goal to the side?

No matter the reason, the fact of the matter is that you were unable to realize a goal you were once determined to achieve — and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Think about what went wrong and why you were unable to achieve your past goals. What factor prevented you from achieving your goals and what can you do to make sure it doesn’t happen again?

What must you stop doing in order to achieve these goals?

Old habits die hard, but often times, it’s better to rid yourself of these habits rather than hold on to them. If you are serious about achieving your goals for the new year, take some time to rid yourself of the bad habits that could have a negative effect on your goals. You’ll thank yourself in the long-run.

What must you start doing in order to achieve these goals?

Now that you’ve figured out what you must stop doing in order to achieve your goals, think about what you must start doing to move forward. After you get rid of old habits, start picking up new habits that will benefit you and your career.

Brainstorm the steps you need to take in order to reach your goals. Next, try to complete those steps to the best of your ability. In a matter of time, you’ll be closer to achieving your goals and will be able to count yourself among the few who actually accomplished their new years resolution.

What must you continue doing in order to achieve these goals?

Depending on what goals you set for yourself, achieving those goals will take a lot of hard work and effort on your part. You’ll likely have to keep working hard until you actually achieve your goals.

One of the best things you can do is figure out what works best for you when it comes to your goals. What are some things you can do that will push you closer to achieving your goals? Figure out what that is, and then keep doing it. You’ll feel accomplished in no time.
