Scott Greenberg, Top Franchise Speaker

Scott Greenberg Headlines as Cultivate ‘18 Keynote Speaker

Sheldon Senek•July 19, 2018

On July 15, top franchise speaker Scott Greenberg delivered the keynote address at AmericanHort’s 2018 Cultivate Conference where he spoke about what leaders and their teams can do to elevate their performance. Cultivate ‘18 is a conference for anyone and everyone involved in the horticulture industry, whether they are growers, retailers, suppliers, marketers or any other profession within the field.

In his keynote, Scott emphasized the importance of mindset when it comes to maximizing performance. He discussed that although some leaders may run their businesses the exact same way, one will succeed while the other may fail. The reason behind this has nothing to do with luck and everything to do with mindset. Maintaining a positive, high-performance mindset will set you apart from the competition and ultimately lead to success.

Keeping his audience’s interests in mind, Scott better related to them by highlighting the similarities between growing plants and growing a business. A plant must grow and adapt to its environment in order to survive. Similarly, people must adapt to certain changes in society, such as new technology and business values. We must always improve — personally and professionally.

Scott left attendees with a powerful call to action: Serve others. In any kind of business, it is important to ask yourself who you are serving. Are you serving your CEO or manager when you should be serving your customers? If you answered yes to that question, it may be worth your while to reevaluate and take Scott’s advice to start serving your customers first.
